Bradley Beal
While Jimmy Butler’s potential availability came out of thin air, Bradley Beal’s has been announcing itself loudly for a long time. If the Indiana Pacers want an immediate return to relevancy, they should consider answering its call.
Arguably, adding Beal to this core would be overkill. How many more high-quality guards do the Pacers need? After all, they already roster Haliburton and Malcolm Brogdon.
The answer is none, but that shouldn’t preclude them from acquiring Beal. For one thing, they could look to move Brogdon elsewhere to achieve better roster balance.
Alternatively, they could keep him and play him in a sixth-man role. Haliburton already has experience playing the nominal small forward in 3-guard lineups in Sacramento. Even with Bradley Beal in the mix, the Pacers could easily find 30 minutes a night for Brogdon.

Bradley Beal, Haliburton, and Brogdon make for an instant candidate for the best guard rotation in the league. They’d be bolstered by quality bigs like Myles Turner, Jalen Smith, and Isaiah Jackson. Bank on a comeback for T.J. Warren, add in Buddy Hield, and the wing rotation looks set.
That sounds like a playoff team, which in this scenario, is exactly what the Pacers are hoping to be.
