Jaylen Brown
At first glance, the Phoenix Suns don’t appear to have room for Jaylen Brown. He’s a small forward/shooting guard. The team has both of those positions covered between Devin Booker and Defensive Player of the Year candidate Mikal Bridges.
That shouldn’t be a concern. It’s a positionless league. The Suns would inevitably find a way to accommodate the talented two-way wing. Bridges could man the 4 in small-ball lineups. Booker could run point with Brown as his backcourt mate. It might make for a tight squeeze, but there would be ways to find starting minutes for all 3 players.
Celtics fans will perish the thought. They probably don’t have to worry. Trade rumors surrounded Brown for much of this season, but as the Celtics dramatically turned their season around, they stopped surfacing.
Still, the C’s will need to make a deep playoff run, or they’ll turn their ugly heads again. Plus, we’re looking a little deeper into the future here. If they don’t procure an NBA championship over the next couple of seasons, questions will begin to emerge about whether the Tatum/Brown connection has hit its ceiling.

In that event, the Suns may want to find out if a Booker/Brown duo has a higher one.
