1. Zion Makes His Debut

The matchup that the least amount of people seem to be talking about in this year’s NBA Play-In Tournament is the New Orleans Pelicans hosting the San Antonio Spurs. Both teams have losing records, which could be part of the problem, but there are a lot of great players taking part in the game.

One of the great players that will be missing, however, is Zion Williamson. Williamson has yet to play this season because of a foot injury suffered during the offseason. But, he has been ramping up some of his rehab recently. His stepfather has also expressed that he wants to see Zion on the court his season.

While we won’t see him in action against the Spurs, we will see him take the court Friday night when the Pelicans play to earn the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference. Williamson has gone nearly a calendar year between appearances in NBA games, but that will come to an end this week.

He is progressing well, playing in five-on-five, fullcourt games. He won’t be unleashed fully, but even just making an appearance off the bench would provide this team with a huge spark and energy boost.
