4. Dejounte Murray Breaks Out On National Stage
The NBA Play-In Tournament gives a chance to some teams that normally wouldn’t sniff the postseason to have a chance to qualify. One of those teams this season is the San Antonio Spurs.
San Antonio seemingly backed into a spot in the tournament, as they went about their business playing games and moved up the standings as much because of the Los Angeles Lakers imploding as their own performance.
While their appearance may be short-lived again, as it was last year, this will be a great chance for some of the young Spurs to garner some national attention. One of the players on the roster who are criminally underrated is Dejounte Murray.
Murray made his first All-Star team this season yet he is still flying under the radar for the casual basketball fan. He had a great season for the Spurs, averaging 21.1 points, 9.2 assists, and 8.3 rebounds to go along with a league-leading 2.0 steals per game.

There has been some chatter that the Spurs could look to trade Murray, but given the strides he has made, he looks like someone they should be building around. He will showcase why San Antonio would keep him in the matchup against the Pelicans.
Murray will record a triple-double, doing all that he can to keep the Spurs’ season alive. His stat line of 24 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds will be shown in highlight reels and people will begin to realize just how good of a player he is.
