The Utah Jazz is a team prime to make some changes this season. While they have said all of the right things to the media, there still seems to be some contention between Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell.
This season, Mitchell is averaging just over two passes per game to Gobert. That means that Mitchell is giving the ball to the other team, as he averages three turnovers per game than he is to his All-Star teammate.
Gobert isn’t an offensive juggernaut, but when he has a smaller player sealed off, he is competent enough to catch and finish. Given all of his work on the defensive end of the court, the least his teammates can do is give him a few looks in the post.
Charlotte desperately needs an upgrade in the middle, and Gobert would be the perfect fit. If he is made available, there are many teams that will show interest in him. Ultimately, the Charlotte Hornets will land him in a trade.

The Hornets don’t need any more offense; what they need is an anchor defensively, which Gobert will provide. He is one of the best defenders in the NBA and would instantly upgrade Charlotte on that end of the floor.
