Should they make Myles Turner available in the offseason, the Indiana Pacers will likely receive interest from several teams around the league.
The big man market is not very vast this upcoming offseason, but there are still several teams that could look to upgrade the talent in their frontcourt, especially with someone like Myles Turner who is a threat to lead the league in blocks.
Leveraging Myles Turner definitely makes a ton of sense, but this trade does not look like it positively affects the Pacers too much unless they hit “gold” with the draft pick they get from Dallas.
Davis Bertans’ upside is limited given that he is only a three-point shooting threat and at $16 million for the 2022-23, he would do nothing but eat away at the Pacers’ cap space.

As for Josh Green, he is a former first-round pick with upside, but he has not delivered in Dallas over the last two seasons and still has a lot of developing to do in order to be an everyday type talent.
If the season was to end today, the Mavericks would be picking somewhere between 20-25 in the 2022 NBA Draft, giving the Indiana Pacers a slim opportunity to actually make this trade worthwhile.
