Potential Offseason Targets To Monitor

Looking at other potential free agents, the Detroit Pistons were linked to Dallas Mavericks’ guard Jalen Brunson and Knicks’ Mitchell Robinson ahead of this season’s NBA trade deadline, both players being set to become unrestricted free agents.

Jalen Brunson has really emerged as key secondary ball-handler and facilitator for the Mavericks this season and while Dallas has stated that they will do everything they can to keep him, Detroit will be able to put together a very competitive offer for the 25-year-old combo-guard.

Mitchell Robinson and the Knicks have not talked about any possibility of him staying long-term and with the demand for big men being minimal this upcoming offseason, the Pistons could look to pursue the lengthy center to pair him with Isaiah Stewart in the frontcourt.

Through four seasons with the Knicks, Mitchell Robinson has been a force on both ends of the floor, averaging 8.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and shooting 72.1% from the floor.
