Does this trade make sense for the Detroit Pistons?

The Detroit Pistons are rebuilding right now and as a result, they are looking for key, young talents to utilize around Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey, and Isaiah Stewart.

Jerami Grant is expected to be heavily pursued once again in the offseason and while they decided to keep him at the trade deadline this year, things are trending towards the Pistons looking to leverage him ahead of the 2022 NBA Draft.

Teams have been closely monitoring Jerami Grant down the stretch-run of the 2021-22 regular season and entering the final year of his contract, it makes the most sense for the Pistons to try and get the most value for him right now.

Dillon Brooks is a 26-year-old wing that they could extend on a long-term deal, Xavier Tillman Sr. could carve out a role in the frontcourt and Detroit would be adding another young prospect to their roster at the end of the first-round with the Memphis Grizzlies 2022 pick.

The Pistons really should not want much more than this, which is why it is a good deal for them to pursue.

Being younger and a similar talent to that of Jerami Grant, Dillon Brooks would fit right in with the Detroit Pistons and could become their veteran leader.
