3. De’Aaron Fox
The Brooklyn Nets’ offseason could be dependent on whether or not they can work out a long-term agreement with Kyrie Irving. The team pulled an extension off the table, which means Irving could become a free agent this summer.
Irving possesses a player option for the 2022-23 season. It is anyone’s guess what he may do, as he remains a part-time player for the Nets because of vaccine mandates in place. If he wants to be full-time without the vaccine, he could look to play elsewhere.
If that occurs, the Nets will be on the lookout for a new starting point guard. So, why not engage in some trade talks with one of the teams that pursued Ben Simmons before he was traded to the Nets? Simmons for De’Aaron Fox rumors persisted for a while, and while nothing came to fruition, the Kings may still be willing to listen now.
Sacramento did trade Tyrese Haliburton to the Indiana Pacers in a package for Domantas Sabonis, so they may not want to trade Fox. But, if it means getting Simmons back, it is something they could entertain.

Fox would be a solid addition for the Brooklyn Nets as an Irving replacement. He has been outstanding since the trade deadline and has scored at least 21.1 points per game for three straight seasons. Recently turning 24-years old, Fox still has plenty of time to develop and round out his game to complement his speed and agility.
