Does this trade make sense for the Detroit Pistons?

It is hard to imagine that the Detroit Pistons are going to be able to get exactly what they want in a trade for Jerami Grant this offseason simply because he is entering the final year of his contract.

Detroit should definitely expect to get a first-round pick, but the value in this trade is almost identical to what any other team in the league will be willing to offer.

Nassir Little is not going to make the same impact right away in Detroit that Jerami Grant has, but Little is only 22-years-old and could be a really strong fit next to Saddiq Bey on the wing, especially since he is an above-average athlete.

The first-round pick that they would be getting in this trade from Portland is also valuable and as of right now, would convey to Detroit since the Pelicans are currently the 10-seed in the Western Conference.

Having two potential lottery picks in the 2022 NBA Draft could be highly advantageous to the Pistons and should they make this trade with the Pelicans’ pick conveying over to Detroit, the Pistons would be able to add three young, versatile pieces to their future core immediately this offseason.

Trading Jerami Grant to the Portland Trail Blazers in a trade centered around Nassir Little is definitely something the Detroit Pistons should highly consider.
