Detroit Pistons Receive: F Nassir Little, G Eric Bledsoe, NOP 2022 1st Round Pick (Protected 1-4 & 15-30, via POR)
Portland Trail Blazers Receive: F Jerami Grant
Between being a well-balanced offensive and defensive talent, Jerami Grant checks off all the boxes for what the Portland Trail Blazers need in the offseason.
They have virtually no talent on the wing right now and while Anfernee Simons has emerged as a high-level talent for this team, he alone cannot help Lillard elevate the Trail Blazers back to the postseason.
Jerami Grant on the other hand can and according to The Athletic’s James Edwards, no team in the league was pursuing Grant more than the Portland Trail Blazers.
While the Blazers do not have a ton of draft capital nor young assets to barter with Nassir Little is definitely a valuable young talent on a rookie contract.

Little was ruled out for the rest of the season in January due to shoulder surgery, but he was putting together a really impressive third season in the league before getting injured.
In 42 games with the Blazers this year, Little averaged 9.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and shot 46% from the floor. Proving to be an athletic, versatile forward, Nassir Little could be the perfect young replacement for the Pistons in a trade involving Jerami Grant.
Eric Bledsoe is not someone the Pistons would be interested in bringing in, but they would have the option of waiving him for a small fee since his contract is partially-guaranteed for the 2022-23 season.

The Trail Blazers are going to have some problems adding the right talent they need to be competitive moving forward, which is why they have to be willing to part ways with players like Nassir Little for a high-level forward like Jerami Grant.
Portland may not be a playoff team right now, but acquiring Grant can help flip the narrative of a rebuild around and with a healthy Damian Lillard, we should never count the Blazers out.
