What Should The New York Knicks Do?
The Julius Randle situation in New York right now is definitely a touchy subject seeing as the Knicks could very well be “damned if they do, damned if they do not” in terms of moving Randle in the offseason, but it would be a smart move for them to give him at least one more year.
As mentioned before, Julius Randle is not the sole problem with the New York Knicks right now and if they are able to add another All-Star talent, this team could all of a sudden become a real contending threat in the Eastern Conference because of how well they can play defense.
Before they look to move Randle, the Knicks should try to move guys like Kemba Walker, Nerlens Noel and Alec Burks for other key secondary talents that can provide more help on offense, taking stress off the backs of Randle and Barrett.
However, this is not to say that the Knicks’ front office should not field calls for Julius Randle in the offseason.

If there are other teams in the NBA that are interested in Randle and they are willing to give up a young talent or two, as well as a draft pick or two, the Knicks should at least hear them out on this offer since they do find themselves at a crossroads.
Getting a big return for Julius Randle right now could make a lot of sense, as could keeping him and trying to build around him again.
