2. Anthony Davis
One of the areas that the Miami Heat are reportedly looking to upgrade this offseason is the frontcourt. P.J. Washington and Christian Wood were both mentioned as potential trade targets should they not be able to acquire a star.
One star that they could look into acquiring is Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers. Given the current state of their franchise, it wouldn’t hurt Miami to check in on Davis’ availability and see what it could potentially cost to acquire him in a deal.
Davis has dealt with a myriad of injuries this season, but the Heat present him the exact kind of opportunity he is looking for. He would be afforded the chance to play power forward alongside Bam Adebayo and there is a ton of talent that would be surrounding him in the lineup.
Combining Davis with Adebayo would be borderline unfair for opposing defenses to try and score on. Both can switch onto any player defensively, athletic enough to keep up with guys on the perimeter. Davis is an excellent rim protector as well. Combined with Lowry and Jimmy Butler, they would be near impossible to score on.
