Washington Wizards
Going out and getting Kristaps Porzingis at the trade deadline to pair with Bradley Beal not only means that the Wizards are not looking to rebuild with their young talents, but that they are going to be searching for “win-now” pieces to add to their roster in the offseason.
Pistons’ forward Jerami Grant still remains high on the Wizards’ radar and he could be someone that they look to trade for at the trade deadline. While acquiring Grant would definitely help this team, the Wizards really need to address their backcourt after trading Spencer Dinwiddie to the Mavericks.
Raul Neto and Ish Smith are the only point guards on this roster following the trade deadline this season and while he can be a primary facilitator/ball-handler, the Wizards would like to pair Bradley Beal with a guard who can take a lot of pressure off of him to have to make all the plays for this team.
Collin Sexton would be the ideal type of fit next to Beal in Washington for the Wizards not only because of his scoring production, but because he creates a lot of space for his teammates by driving to the rim.

Investing a lot of money into a guy coming off knee surgery would not be ideal for the Wizards, especially given that this did not work out with Spencer Dinwiddie this season, but taking a chance on Collin Sexton could pay out in the grand scheme of things for Washington.
