Building around Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown is the main long-term goal for the Boston Celtics, but this does not mean that Brad Stevens and the Celtics’ front-office will not look to add another star to this roster in the near future.

Forming “Big 3s” is the new norm in the Eastern Conference and while the Celtics have been one of the hottest teams in the league this season, they may not have enough firepower to make it past the second-round of the playoffs.

Tayum and Brown can only do so much for this franchise and with them not having a talented bench or having much depth at all, the Celtics could struggle against other teams in the conference with three All-Star talents.

The Celtics are always willing to spend money to build championship contending teams and they have been a team linked to Bradley Beal in past trade rumors.

How they could make the money work remains a mystery, but Marcus Smart, Derrick White, Aaron Nesmith and Payton Pritchard are all possible assets the Wizards could be interested in and Al Horford ($26.5 million) could be utilized as a “salary dump” player in this massive deal.

This would most definitely be a sign-and-trade scenario with Washington and a trio of Beal, Tatum and Brown is surely enough to help the Celtics contend for championships.
