The Los Angeles Lakers currently find themselves in desperation mode this NBA season, as they are 28-36 on the season, hanging onto the 9-seed in the Western Conference by a thread.
LeBron James at 37-years-old has been carrying the Lakers all season long and while they were picked by many to win the championship this year, Los Angeles just simply lacks the necessary talent to be a real threat in this league.
The “Russell Westbrook experiment” has not worked out whatsoever for this franchise, Anthony Davis cannot seem to stay healthy and with a bunch of veterans well past their prime on this roster, the Lakers will enter the offseason with a ton of questions to answer.
Not only will they need to figure out the future of Russell Westbrook, but the Lakers will need to find ways to surround LeBron James and Anthony Davis with capable championship-caliber talents that are not in the final year of their career.

While he is a veteran talent and nearing the end of his career, Eric Gordon could very well be a player the Lakers show interest in. Between his older age and his contract, this would seem like a foolish move for the Lakers, but Gordon has proven to be a factor in the Rockets’ offensive game-plan this season.
Through 52 games on the year, Eric Gordon has averaged 13.9 points, 2.8 assists, and has shot 41.1% from three-point range, his best three-point shooting percentage since the 2014-15 season when he shot 44.8% from deep with New Orleans.
A key asset in the Houston Rockets’ championship-contending teams a few years back, Gordon still has plenty left in the tank, and his play with the Rockets this season just proves this.
