Figure Out Future Of T.J. Warren
One of the key injury situations the Indiana Pacers have had to deal with since last year is that of T.J. Warren and his foot injury suffered at the beginning of last season.
After breakout performances in the 2020 NBA Bubble, T.J. Warren sustained a foot injury just four games into the 2020-21 season, resulting in surgery and him missing the remainder of the year.
Entering this season, the Pacers were hopeful to get Warren back close to the All-Star break, but that has come and passed and now, T.J. Warren could very much miss the remainder of the season due to his rehabilitation process.
Should he miss the remainder of this season, Warren will enter unrestricted free agency not playing in a single game since early on in the 2020-21 season and he will have a bunch of question marks tied to his long-term durability and availability.

Once expected to receive a massive raise in his new contact, T.J. Warren could ultimately have to take a one-year, small-paying contract in order to gain his footing in the league once more.
What this means in terms of his future in Indiana is another big question mark, but maybe it is not a bad idea for the Indiana Pacers to keep Warren around on a one-year, $4 million to $6 million deal.
Talent on the wing will be key for Indiana to move forward with in order to surround Tyrese Haliburton with reliable scoring, which is why bringing back T.J. Warren is not a terrible idea.
He could serve as the veteran in this system and should Warren actually be able to stay healthy and on the floor, the versatile forward could rekindle some of his scoring success from the NBA Bubble.
