Terrence Ross – Orlando Magic
At the trade deadline, the Lakers looked into trading Talen Horton-Tucker and one player that they were involved in trade talks around was Magic veteran Terrence Ross.
Now, adding another older, veteran piece to their roster is the last thing the Lakers should be looking to do at this point, but they do not have many other options.
Ross is currently in the midst of his 10th NBA season and is still an effective scorer off-the-bench, which is more than can be said about this current Lakers’ roster.
Since joining the Magic during the 2016-17 season, Terrence Ross has averaged 13.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and has shot 35.3% from three-point range. Being a blend of a scorer on the perimeter and off-the-dribble, Terrence Ross could provide immediate scoring depth on the Lakers’ bench.

However, durability is a concern with the veteran wing, which is a main reason why the Lakers may not want to pursue him in the offseason, especially given their own durability concerns they have.
Terrence Ross only played in 46 games last season due to injuries and so far this year, he has missed 9 games with the Magic due to injuries. While certainly an option given Los Angeles’ interest in him in the past, the Lakers will probably turn their attention elsewhere on the trade market.
