Jerami Grant – Detroit Pistons
Heading into the trade deadline this season, Jerami Grant was one of the top players on the market drawing a significant amount of interest. The Portland Trail Blazers were very involved in trade talks with the Pistons ahead of the deadline in regards to Grant, but they were unable to get a deal done.
Entering the offseason, Jerami Grant is going to be in the final year of his contract with the Pistons and many around the league believe that Detroit is going to look to leverage him ahead of the 2022 NBA Draft in pursuit of more first-round picks.
Portland’s interest in Jerami Grant is very apparent, hence why they could ultimately look to acquire him in a trade. The Pistons have shown a level of interest in Josh Hart in the past and they could view him as a key “selling point” in trade talks with the Trail Blazers this upcoming offseason.
Since joining the Pistons ahead of the 2019-20 season, Jerami Grant has turned himself into one of the better two-way combo-forwards in the entire league.

In 87 total games with the Pistons, Jerami Grant has averaged 21.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and has shot 42.4% from the floor. He would be a terrific fit in Portland on the wing and coil be a key secondary scoring option next to Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons on this roster.
Portland’s rumored interest in Jerami Grant all season long is not going to go away and him being in the final year of his contract come the offseason should make the Trail Blazers even more interested in the 27-year-old forward.
