1. Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets are right on the cusp of really making some noise in the Eastern Conference. With a few tweaks, they could make a jump similar to the one the Cleveland Cavaliers have made this season.
One of the tweaks they should make is at the center position. They acquired Montrezl Harrell from the Washington Wizards ahead of the trade deadline and have Mason Plumlee, but they could still use some help.
Christian Wood would be an excellent pickup for the Charlotte Hornets in the middle. He isn’t the defensive player someone like Turner would be, but Wood is still a sizable upgrade on what the Hornets have to turn to currently.
Wood is a good enough rim protector that he will at least help Charlotte improve on that end of the court. He won’t negatively impact their offense as he has shown he is more than capable of carrying the scoring load as a No. 1 option

Adding Wood to a lineup alongside LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Gordon Hayward, and Miles Bridges would be a lot of fun for Charlotte Hornets fans.
