2. Golden State Warriors
After a two-year hiatus, there are once again title aspirations for the Golden State Warriors. They have missed the postseason the last two years, but are back with a vengeance this season as one of the favorites to take home the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
If there is one area on the roster that they could look to upgrade this offseason it is center. Golden State is a little thin up front, as Kevon Looney is the only healthy center on the roster. James Wiseman is working his way back to the lineup, recovering from knee surgery.
Wiseman will essentially be auditioning for a spot in the Warriors lineup behind this season. If he shows that he is not ready to handle rotation minutes for a team challenging for a championship, the Warriors could look to make a move this offseason.
Wiseman is oozing with potential, but given the timeline of the team’s core, they may not be able to wait things out. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green need players that can help them win now and if Wiseman isn’t that player, they will have to consider trading him.

Christian Wood would be a sizable upgrade in the middle for Golden State. He would fit in offensively with his ability to space the floor and is a solid rebounder. He brings rim protection as well, providing the Golden State Warriors with someone who can remain on the court even when opponents go small.
