The last two seasons have been anything but ideal for the Golden State Warriors. However the 2021-22 NBA season is shaping up to be a special one.
Not only are the Warriors the top-rated defensive team in the league right now, but they have arguably the best depth in the entire league and they have one of the best scoring benches in the league, as they rank 12th in the NBA in bench scoring this season.
Stephen Curry is once again one of the best offensive talents in the league and the improvements he has made defensively have shown for the Warriors. Draymond Green being out since early-January is a slight concern for Warriors’ fans, but the now four-time All-Star should be ready to return sometime closer to March.
Andrew Wiggins is a first-time All-Star this season, having the best season of his career, Klay Thompson is beginning to look like the Klay Thompson of old and Jordan Poole has emerged as a key “sixth-man-like” talent in his second-season with the Warriors.

At the trade deadline, the Warriors did not make any moves simply because they are happy with the 15 players on their roster right now. Each of them hold a role for this team and quite honestly, Golden State does not need anyone else to make a real championship run, they just need their roster healthy for the playoffs.
Seeding does not matter for the Warriors, even though they hold the second-best record in the NBA right now, simply because they know that they can contend for a championship in a weaker than usual Western Conference.
The buyout market is approaching in the NBA and while the Warriors could look to bring in a veteran or two to improve their bench, the Golden State Warriors do not have an open roster spot and are not actively looking to make room for a new addition.

Gary Payton II, Juan Toscano-Anderson and Nemanja Bjelica are all key role players that the Warriors utilize in different situations depending on the opponents they are facing. None of these three guys are going to get dumped and they are certainly not going to look to waive Damion Lee or Andre Iguodala.
Adding another player in the buyout market is not something we should expect the Warriors to do, but one of these three players could definitely provide a sense of value on the bench in a world where 16 players are allowed on an NBA roster.
