4. Lakers Make Multiple Cuts
The Los Angeles Lakers were unable to make a trade ahead of the deadline, so their roster is pretty much set for the stretch run. Fans will be disappointed, but with virtually no assets at their disposal, it isn’t too surprising they didn’t get a trade done.
If they wanted to, there was a framework done for a deal involving the Houston Rockets centered around Russell Westbrook and draft compensation for John Wall. Ultimately, things fell through.
Now, the Lakers will turn to the buyout market. They will try to bring in some new pieces that fit better than what they have, but they will need to clear some roster space to do it. Kent Bazemore and DeAndre Jordan are two players that have been mentioned as potential cut candidates, but only Jordan will get released from that bunch.
The chances of him getting signed by another team are slim, as he is not an effective player any longer. His NBA career could be nearing an end. Joining him on the cut block will be joined by Avery Bradley.

Bradley will latch on with another team as his current role with the Lakers will dissipate once Kendrick Nunn returns to the court, if he does at all, in March.
