Goran Dragic – San Antonio Spurs
*Note: Dragic was bought out of his contract by the Spurs on 2/15/22, first reported by Shams Charania.
Building off the idea of adding another backcourt piece in the buyout market, Goran Dragic is a very intriguing name that various playoff teams around the league are showing interest in.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski recently listed the Lakers, Warriors, Clippers, Bulls, Nets and Bucks as potential landing spots for the veteran guard in the buyout market this season and it would not be surprising to see the Boston Celtics get involved with him as well.
Goran Dragic was traded before the season, along with Precious Achiuwa, to the Toronto Raptors as part of the sign-and-trade deal for the Heat to acquire Kyle Lowry.
Upon arrival to Toronto, many quickly learned that Goran Dragic was not going to be a member of the Raptors for long, which is why he ultimately only played in 5 games for them.
