Dallas Mavericks
Since arriving in Toronto in the offseason, there has been heavy speculation that Goran Dragic could end up on the Dallas Mavericks at some point this season.
Both Goran Dragic and Mavericks’ star Luka Doncic played with one another in the past summer Olympic Games, representing their home country of Slovenia and making it all the way to the Bronze medal match.
Doncic and Dragic have a very strong relationship with one another and were seen on social media working out with one another in the offseason leading up to the 2021-22 season.
It would not be surprising at all to see the Mavericks sign Goran Dragic for the rest of the season should he be bought out of his contract, but Dallas seems to be done making moves after sending Kristaps Porzingis to the Washington Wizards on Thursday.

In return for Porzingis, the Dallas Mavericks received the secondary ball-handler that they had been needing in Spencer Dinwiddie, as well as an upgrade on the perimeter with sharpshooter Davis Bertans.
Not having an open roster spot post-deadline, the Dallas Mavericks seem to be content with the roster they have right now around Luka Doncic and GM Nico Harrison stated recently that he sees his roster as “set” for the remainder of the year.
Spencer Dinwiddie’s arrival basically fills the role that Dragic would have held with the Dallas Mavericks and this team is going to begin to run into a cap problem long-term after agreeing to a new deal with Dorian Finney-Smith.

Not to mention, the Mavericks also have to deal with the contract negotiations of Jalen Brunson in the offseason, a player that they do not have any intention of losing in free agency.
Goran Dragic would fit in well with the Mavericks, but it does not seem like Dallas is too interested in being busy in the buyout market this season.
