Milwaukee Bucks

The Atlanta Hawks were showing trade interest in Goran Dragic ahead of the trade deadline, as were the Milwaukee Bucks.

Ultimately, Dragic’s contract played a big role in the Bucks not being able to trade for him, as they would have had to find a way to get rid of Brook Lopez’s contract in order to have a shot at landing Goran Dragic given his cap figures.

Looking to add a little bit more depth behind Jrue Holiday on their roster, the Bucks could very well be looking to add another guard ahead of the March 1 eligibility deadline.

Portland’s Eric Bledsoe and Rockets’ D.J. Augustin, two former Bucks players, will likely be on Milwaukee’s radar as well, but Goran Dragic would be the perfect player for the Bucks to add to their bench.

LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Goran Dragic To Receive Buyout; Mavs Likely Landing Spot

Donte DiVincenzo is no longer with the Milwaukee Bucks, as he was traded to Sacramento ahead of the trade deadline, and Pat Connaughton could now be forced to miss some time after suffering a right fourth metacarpal fracture in Thursday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns.

Back-up point guard George Hill has not played since Jan. 28 with a neck injury and no timetable has been laid out for his return. The defending champions are starting to look a little thin in terms of bench depth given their injury situation right now, which is why a player like Goran Dragic can make a big difference for them.

Goran Dragic can take pressure off of Jrue Holiday to have to play upwards of 40 minutes per game, keeping him fresh for the playoffs, and Dragic could immediately become a sixth-man-like scorer for the Milwaukee Bucks as they look to repeat as champions.
