No, the Sixers should not be putting in Tyrese Maxey or Matisse Thybulle in a trade for a player they feel confident they are going to receive in the offseason. The Nets need to accept this and keep it moving.
Landing a multi-time All-Star that can bring a real boost to the frontcourt in Ben Simmons along with a sharpshooter and a 2022 first-round pick is a solid haul for Harden, who hasn’t lived up to expectations in Brooklyn anyway.
The idea of Harden and Joel Embiid playing alongside each other would be a risk, but the upside is tremendous if everyone is on the same page. It would be fascinating to see that develop.
