Brooklyn Nets Receive: G/F Ben Simmons, G Seth Curry, 2022 first-round pick
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G James Harden
In an NBA trade scenario proposed by ESPN’s Tim Bontemps, the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers would come together to end the ongoing sagas with James Harden and Ben Simmons.
Harden has bounced back from a slow start this season, but his efficiency is still a bit rough. He’s putting up 22.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 10.2 assists while shooting 41.4 percent from the field and 33.2 percent from three-point range.
Meanwhile, Ben Simmons hasn’t appeared in a game for the Philadelphia 76ers yet this season. However, just last year he was a Defensive Player of the Year candidate. There are obvious concerns to be had about Simmons, but the Nets could make do.
Seth Curry would bring a needed element of shooting to the Nets, something they’ve sorely lacked in the supporting cast this season. He’s been struggling as of late but overall would be a nice complement.

For the Nest, it remains to be seen how everything would line up on a mid-season trade of this nature given Kevin Durant is currently sidelined, Kyrie Irving is only able to play home games, and Ben Simmons would need time to ramp up, but perhaps things resolve themselves come playoff time.
This deal would see one of the league’s best guards join forces with one of the best centers in the NBA. Meanwhile, the Nets would be getting an elite defensive presence to pair alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
