Minnesota Timberwolves
Believe it or not, the Minnesota Timberwolves are actually looking very comfortable in the Western Conference playoff picture right now. They ultimately may have to earn their playoff spot via the play-in tournament, but Minnesota is a really strong offensive team that is getting better defensively as well.
Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell make up one of the best scoring trios in the league and with the added defensive help of Patrick Beverley and Taurean Prince, the Timberwolves are currently the 7-seed in the West and moving up the standings.
However, Minnesota still ranks 19th in three-point shooting and could very much look to add some more shooting depth at the deadline. Celtics’ guard Marcus Smart has been mentioned as a possible trade target for the Timberwolves over the next week, but Kent Bazemore could be a low-cost option that they could pursue at the cost of someone like Jake Layman or Josh Okogie.
Outside of their “Big 3”, it has been hard to find offensive production on this Timberwolves roster. They really need to add some more depth, specifically on the wing, which is why Kent Bazemore could fit in here.
