New Orleans Pelicans
The Pelicans have shown some improvements since starting the year 8-21 and they are expected to be big “buyers” at the trade deadline. Finding more talent to surround Brandon Ingram and Zion Wiliamson is key, as the Pelicans’ front-office truly believes that they are not far off from being a real threat in the Western Conference.
Obviously getting Zion back on the floor and healthy is key for this team, but they have moveable contracts on their roster heading into the trade deadline and they also have a ton of draft picks that they can potentially utilize in trade talks.
In recent weeks, CJ McCollum, Eric Gordon and Harrison Barnes have been mentioned as possible trade targets for this team to go “all-in” with.
A big trade is certainly a possibility for New Orleans at the trade deadline and should they go after someone like McCollum or Barnes, it would likely be a multi-team deal given players and salaries that would have to be moved.
LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Lakers Looking To Trade Bazemore Ahead Of Deadline
The Lakers could very much find themselves being an extension of a big trade at the deadline, hence where Kent Bazemore could come into play as a low contract “salary-filler” type player in trade talks.
While they do need and want another star to put next to Ingram this season, the Pelicans also just need more depth on their roster, specifically on the wing.
Being a veteran wing and bringing years of playoff experience with him, Kent Bazemore could be a really solid player for the Pelicans to add to their roster in addition to adding another high-level talent.
