Does this trade make sense for the LA Clippers?
At the end of the day, the LA Clippers need to come to terms with the fact that they have taken a step back this season because of injuries. This is out of their control, but the best thing they can do for themselves is to add future value ahead of the trade deadline so they can continue to contend in the Western Conference when Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are healthy.
Marcus Morris Sr. has been a key secondary scorer for them on offense, but Duncan Robinson could really help open up this offense next to Luke Kennard on the perimeter.
Both guys shooting over 40% from three-point range and next to Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, the Clippers would suddenly have a well-balanced attack on offense heading into next season.
It is hard to compare them to what the Warriors have in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, but Los Angeles would essentially have two wings who can run off of screens and create havoc in the lanes for George and Leonard to play downhill towards the rim.

Three-point shooting got the Clippers to the Western Conference Finals last season and it could once again moving forward with an addition like Duncan Robinson. Not to mention, getting a first-round pick from the Miami Heat in 2025 is valuable, even if it is heavily protected, because the Clippers currently do not have a first-round pick until 2027.
