Does this trade make sense for the Miami Heat?
The key to winning the Eastern Conference and making the NBA Finals is having resourceful, experienced depth on the bench. Having three All-Stars is great for the Miami Heat, but they need to make sure their secondary talents are ready to go up against guys like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant and DeMar DeRozan.
Nobody is ever ready to go up against these three All-Star, MVP-like candidates, but guys like P.J. Tucker, Markieff Morris and Marcus Morris are all hard-nosed, physical defenders that can put up strong fights against these guys.
At the slight expense of some three-point shooting production, the Heat can add another wing scorer in Morris from the LA Clippers. He can do a little bit of everything on the floor for a championship contending team and perhaps the best thing the Heat can get out of this trade is pairing the Morris brothers back up with one another.
Back in the day when the two brothers played at Kansas, they were known to be “trouble makers” at times, but in a good way. Markieff and Marcus Morris are gritty, physical forwards that really do not back down to anyone or anything.

This is the kind of mentality Erik Spoelstra has implemented for the Miami Heat on defense and Marcus Morris Sr. would be a perfect complimentary player for the Heat to add this season.
