LA Clippers Receive: F/C Domantas Sabonis, F Justin Holiday
Indiana Pacers Receive: G/F Luke Kennard, C Ivica Zubac, G/F Keon Johnson, G/F Brandon Boston Jr., 2028 First-Round Pick

This trade package was put together by Zach Buckley as he put together multiple deals in a Bleacher Report article centered around new landing spots for some of this year’s deadline targets. Domantas Sabonis has been someone mentioned as a trade target for weeks, as it was reported by The Athletic that he was made available in December.

Those rumors have not quieted down. Now, it is just a matter of whether or not the Indiana Pacers are going to pull the trigger on a deal. It has been reported that Indiana is looking for a package similar to what the Orlando Magic received for Nikola Vucevic from the Chicago Bulls.

In this deal, they are getting sharpshooter Luke Kennard, who had a game for the ages last week helping the LA Clippers come back from a 35-point deficit. Joining him is Ivica Zubac, 2021 first-round pick Keon Johnson, 2021 second-round pick Brandon Boston Jr. and a 2028 first-round pick.

That could certainly appease Indiana, as they have to wait on the draft pick but get some high-upside players. Johnson was the most athletic player in the 2021 draft class and Boston has already broken into the Clippers’ rotation. Kennard and Zubac are instant plug-and-play guys.

Heading to Los Angeles along with Sabonis is Justin Holiday. His status is one the Clippers will have to keep an eye on as he has admitted that he is not vaccinated. Given the city mandates, he could be forced to miss some games similar to Kyrie Irving with the Brooklyn Nets.

How does this deal impact both teams? Let’s take a look at it from each of their perspectives, starting with the Clippers.
