Does this trade make sense for the Detroit Pistons?

There is not a chance that the Detroit Pistons would entertain this offer from the Sacramento Kings due to the fact that they are receiving interest from plenty of other teams regarding Jerami Grant.

Maybe some of those other trade packages are not too favorable to the Pistons either, but the Knicks and Wizards both have plenty of young talents to offer up and even the Celtics could get involved in the “Jerami Grant Sweepstakes” given all the young assets and draft picks they own.

Marvin Bagley III could fit in nicely for years to come in the Pistons’ frontcourt and there is interest within the Pistons’ front-office in him, but Bagley is in the final year of his rookie contract and still has a lot of work to do on his game.

Being only 27-years-old, the Pistons would be much better off keeping what they have in Jerami Grant rather than pursue this trade with the Kings.

It is possible that a trade package centered around Buddy Hield, Marvin Bagley III and a draft pick could get the job done for Jerami Grant, but it is hard to imagine that the Pistons would be interested in this deal either given the cap and salary implications this would have on their organization.
