Would this trade make sense for the Brooklyn Nets?
There is no doubt that the Brooklyn Nets have the best trio in the league when healthy and able to stay on the floor. Of course, Kyrie Irving has missed plenty of time due to other reasons.
Because of this, we have not been able to see the three play together much over the years. The backcourt is set but Brooklyn could always be interested in adding some more help down low.
LaMarcus Aldridge came out of retirement to rejoin the Nets. He has played in 34 games, making 10 starts, and is scoring 13.4 points per game. He is the only big man averaging double-digit points per game for the Nets.
Blake Griffin has played in 36 games and is scoring six points per game while Nic Claxton has missed some time this season. The Nets do not have a reliable starting center on the roster. This is where Poeltl could come into play.

He is a young center with one year left on his contract that is capable of stepping in right away. Poeltl would give the Nets the perfect balance on both ends of the floor and an inside presence that they have lacked over the years.
This is not to say that Poeltl is the missing piece. The only thing that could hold the Brooklyn Nets back this season is their health. They are one of the best teams on paper and will have a chance to show it in the postseason. With that being said, making a deal for Poeltl would not hurt in any way.
