Boston Celtics Receive: G John Wall, F Jae’Sean Tate, MIL 2023 1st Round Pick (Unprotected)
Houston Rockets Receive: G Romeo Langford, G/F Josh Richardson, F/C Al Horford
John Wall was traded to the Houston Rockets last season from the Washington Wizards in exchange for Russell Westbrook, but it does not appear that Wall is going to be in Houston too much longer.
At the beginning of the season, Wall and Rockets’ management agreed to work on his future in this league with the veteran still being an active member of this team, but not playing in games.
Then near the end of November, it was said that John Wall wanted to get back on the court, even if it was with the Houston Rockets.
Wall has yet to play this season and nothing has been said about Wall’s immediate future because of his contract.

Being owed $91.6M through next season because of a $47.3M player option for the 2022-23 season, not many teams in the league have the capability to trade for the former All-Star guard.
The Lakers have expressed interest in a potential trade featuring Russell Westbrook again and there are a handful of other contending teams around the league have shown interest in adding John Wall to their roster, but this has been in the event of a possible buyout should the Rockets not be able to trade him ahead of this season’s trade deadline.
It is hard to imagine that the Boston Celtics would be able to make the money for John Wall work in a trade, but they could hypothetically make a trade for him work by including the contracts of Al Horford, Josh Richardson and Romeo Langford.

Just getting out of paying John Wall would be a win for the Houston Rockets, but giving up Jae’Sean Tate is not something that they would be too thrilled about, even if they are adding some impactful players and a young talent like Langford.
