Does this trade make sense for the Pistons?

The Detroit Pistons are rebuilding right now and if they are to trade Jerami Grant, they better be getting a ton of value in return that sets them up for a lot of future success.

What is there really to gain by trading for Malik Beasley, Jake Layman, Taurean Prince and one first-round pick?

Beasley is nothing more than a role player that is a respectable three-point shooter and neither Layman or Prince would be in Detroit longer than the end of their contracts!

This would be such a terrible move for the Pistons to make because there is nothing that the Minnesota Timberwolves could offer up that would be of value to this franchise given their current state.

Maybe Jarred Vanderbilt and Jaden McDaniels would be appealing assets to Detroit, but the Timberwolves are not prepared to trade either one of these young forwards unless they absolutely need to.

Minnesota can be interested in Jerami Grant all they want, but at the end of the day, the Pistons can get more value from one of the other 28 teams in the league for their best talent.
