NBA trade season has arrived and with the trade deadline a month away (Feb. 10), trade rumors are starting to pick up across the league, one in particular is the future of Jerami Grant in Detroit.
After signing a three-year, $60M deal with the Detroit Pistons ahead of the start of last season, Jerami Grant has turned himself into one of the better combo-forwards in the league and is expected to receive a ton of interest on the trade market over the next month or so.
While he is currently out with a thumb injury that required surgery, Jerami Grant was having yet another great season in Detroit and is being looked at as possibly the best two-way player available ahead of the trade deadline this season.
Being able to play numerous different roles and being a “3-and-D” type of player on the wing, Jerami Grant checks off the boxes for various teams across the NBA in terms of what they need.

According to Shams Charania, the Washington Wizards, New York Knicks, Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers are among a few of the teams to have contacted the Detroit Pistons showing interest in Grant and many others are also expected to follow suit.

They are still far off from being a real playoff threat in the Eastern Conference and while they have some solid young pieces on their roster already with Cunningham, Bey and Stewart, the Pistons are still a few years out from being anything special.
