Would this trade make sense for the Boston Celtics?

The Boston Celtics would make this trade in order to invest in depth. Jaylen Brown is great and, as mentioned, the C’s aren’t interested in trading him right now. But if they changed their mind, this is the type of deal they should pursue.

This trade would allow them to add three, young, quality rotational pieces. It would be them committing to building around Jayson Tatum and solely Tatum. The two things they should be, and would be in this deal, putting around him? Shooting and defense.

John Collins would take over the starting power forward spot, giving the C’s a great boost. His floor spacing abilities would help a Boston Celtics team who has struggled to shoot well from three. His 42.7 percent from deep would be crucial.

As forDe’Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish, they’d be the replacements for Brown. Hunter can’t stay healthy right now, but when he is, he’s shown the potential to be one of the best 3&D guys in the league. Reddish has shown similar potential, but on a slightly small scale, yet he’s been healthy more.
