This deal would see both teams shake things up a fair amount in terms of roster construction. The Atlanta Hawks would emphasize their backcourt and wing rotation, while the Boston Celtics would add a great frontcourt piece and reshape their own wing depth.
Jaylen Brown is having another solid season, but he’s missed a ton of time due to a hamstring injury. He’s averaging 24.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists while shooting 46.0 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from deep. Aaron Nesmith hasn’t gotten much run, but he showed some real potential last season.
John Collins is putting up decent numbers this season as well. He’s averaging 17.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.0 assists while shooting 54.1 percent from the field and 42.7 percent from deep.
Meanwhile, Cam Reddish is having a solid season in relation to the role he’s been given. He’s averaging 11.9 points and shooting 37.9 percent from three-point range.

There have been recent reports, however, that the team is open to trading him. As for De’Andre Hunter, he’s been dealing with an injury for the majority of the year.
Boston would get some quality depth while Atlanta would be clearing up a clog at the wing position and prioritizing star power. But as a whole, why should each team be interested in this deal?
