Toronto Raptors Receive: C/F Domantas Sabonis, F Torrey Craig
Indiana Pacers Receive: G Goran Dragic, G Malachi Flynn, F/C Precious Achiuwa, Dalano Banton, 2022 First-Round Pick (Lottery Protected), 2026 First-Round Pick
Again, this trade seems weird considering the Toronto Raptors already have Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes. But Nick Nurse has been into weird lineups all year, so there’s no reason they couldn’t find a way to make all three of these players fit.
Domantas Sabonis is once again having an All-Star-caliber season – he’s just on a bad team right now. Sabonis is averaging 18.7 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game while shooting 57.5 percent from the field and 30.4 percent from deep.
Meanwhile, the Raptors would be giving up three young players and a couple of picks. All three youngsters have shown flashes of potential this season. As for Goran Dragic, he’s merely involved in the deal to match salaries, as he’s barely played for Toronto this year.
After a solid rookie season, Malachi Flynn hasn’t found a consistent spot in the rotation, but the same can’t be said for Precious Achiuwa and Dalano Banton. Those two have both found their niche in the Raptors’ lineup this year.
