Does this trade make sense for the Houston Rockets?

Assuming they make Christian Wood available in trade talks leading up to the trade deadline, the Houston Rockets are going to field a ton of interest from teams around the league. Cam Johnson is definitely a solid addition for the Rockets to add to their young core, but there is not much else to gain from this trade.

Dario Saric would be nothing more than a veteran player the Rockets either look to move again or just let walk when he becomes a free agent and the Suns do not have any valuable draft picks to offer up.

Maybe there is some value with a second-round pick in 2022, but the Rockets are rebuilding now, making a 2024 first-round pick not too valuable in the grand scheme of things.

Draft picks are draft picks, so the Rockets cannot really complain here, but they can definitely get a little bit more value from other teams around the league, hence why they should not make this trade with the Suns.
