Would this trade make sense for the New Orleans Pelicans?

It has been a real challenge for the New Orleans Pelicans to add talent using their cap space. They were willing to pay a massive contract to Kyle Lowry who instead chose the Miami Heat. They couldn’t even get Tim Hardaway Jr. to sign as he took less to return to the Dallas Mavericks.

The Pelicans will need to be willing to take on less than ideal contracts for helpful players—most likely in the trade market since free agency has been a challenge.

There is a need for the Pelicans to add more dynamic perimeter shooting around Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram. The two-man game that Williamson had with JJ Redick showed some genuinely intriguing flashes but he clearly did not fit the timeline of the time as he is now retired.

Robinson, at 6-foot-7, could pose an even greater threat in similar ways in dribble handoffs he already has shown often with Bam Adebayo but instead with Williamson or even Jonas Valanciunas in New Orleans.

Robinson’s ability to come off pindowns and various off-ball screening actions not only to convert on the catch-and-shoot looks that come his way, but to pull the attention of the defense with his shooting gravity would add quite a substantial boost to the Pelicans’ half-court offense.
