Miami Heat Receive: G Tomas Satoransky, C Jaxson Hayes
New Orleans Pelicans Receive: F Duncan Robinson
The New Orleans Pelicans would make a long-term addition to the roster by making a trade for Duncan Robinson. It would be a bet that his shooting ability would elevate their offense.
Given the slow start to the season Robinson had, it’s difficult to necessarily point to the trade value as being all that strong. His salary is ascending in value through the life of the deal and he earns just under $20 million on his player option for the 2025-26 season.
The Pelicans would be sending out an expiring deal in Tomas Satoransky, who is earning $10 million this season. His inclusion would mostly be for salary matching pursposes.
The Heat would also receive Jaxson Hayes, the former No. 8 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. He has played behind Steven Adams and now Jonas Valanciunas but perhaps Miami could develop him?
