Will Golden State look to move young talents for another star?

The biggest question facing the Golden State Warriors since what feels like the offseason is whether or not they will move on from guys like James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody and others at the trade deadline in favor of another “win-now” talent. 

The answer was “no” earlier in the season and that answer has not changed to this point for the Warriors. 

General manager Bob Myers absolutely wants to win a championship this season, but he is also looking ahead to the future, one that may not have Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson. 

After all, these three All-Stars are in their 30s now and it is time for them to start thinking about life after basketball. They may still have plenty of years left in them, but they are nearing the back half of their respective careers.

James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody could present the Warriors with a grand return in terms of another talented player, but they have one of the best records in the NBA this season and at full-strength, they may be virtually impossible to beat unless they have an off shooting night. 

Maybe teams can win a game or two against them, but good luck beating the Warriors right now in a seven game series! 

Because of this, the Warriors will not be trading any of their young talents anytime soon and their young talents are actually happy with their roles right now. 

Not many lottery picks are too satisfied when they do not hold a role on their team, but all three of these young talents for the Warriors understand the big picture at hand and they are all willing to sacrifice for the collective good of the team.
