5. Ben Simmons to Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves, when at full strength, have been a solid team this season. They have battled thus far this season, going 17-20 and look poised to at least qualify for a spot in the NBA Play-In Tournament.

Minnesota has a nice core with Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell have all played rather well this season. Patrick Beverley’s presence has helped get the team locked in defensively, as that side of the ball has seen more consistent success than their offense.

Looking to cement themselves in the playoff picture, the Timberwolves are ready to make a deal. They have been one of the teams linked to Ben Simmons and it would be quite a big deal if they were able to land him.

Figuring out a package to acquire him is difficult, especially if the Philadelphia 76ers aren’t high on Russell. But his playmaking, rebounding and defense would all help push this team to the next level.
