Los Angeles Lakers Receive: G Bogdan Bogdanovic
Atlanta Hawks Receive: G Talen Horton-Tucker, G Kendrick Nunn, LAL 2025 1st Round Pick (Top-5 Protected)
Finding more talent that can play off-the-ball is going to be key for the Lakers, but their options are extremely limited at this time. Because they are way over the cap and do not have a lot of valuable assets, it is hard to believe Los Angeles will be able to pull off a trade for another star.
However, Bogdan Bogdanovic is on a moveable contract and could technically be acquired by the Lakers if they were to move Horton-Tucker and Nunn in a package to Atlanta.
Los Angeles would be taking on $3.5M more in total salaries and be tied down to Bogdanovic long-term, but he shot 43.8% from deep last season and is the picture-perfect off-the-ball type of player the Lakers need around LeBron James.
For his career, Bogdan Bogdanovic has averaged 13.8 points, 3.4 assists and has shot 38.6% from three-point range. Ge is not the difference in this team winning a championship, but Bogdanovic could certainly help the Lakers’ offense become more of a threat.

In Atlanta, the Hawks are currently 15-19 and searching for answers of their own. They have been decimated by injuries on the wing this season, which is one reason why they could be hesitant to trade Bogdan Bogdanovic.
However, they do need to start considering what the future holds for them in regards to the contracts on their roster. Atlanta is already committed to around $150M in contracts for next season and that is not even including any potential signings they could make!
De’Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish are both two young players with a lot of potential that this team would like to keep, but they will be unable to do so unless they free up cap space.

Talen Horton-Tucker is owed $30.7M over the next few seasons, but his contract is considerably smaller than that of Bogdanovic and Nunn could provide some much-needed depth and scoring in the Hawks’ backcourt.
Is this actually a deal that we could see happen between the Los Angeles Lakers and Atlanta Hawks this season?
