Does this trade make sense for the Atlanta Hawks?

It may seem crazy, but this trade may actually work out in the Atlanta Hawks’ favor. Talen Horton-Tucker and Kendrick Nunn are both young talents that could grow with this team and it is hard to pinpoint Bogdan Bogdanovic’s value to this team.

Some nights, he goes for over 20 points and leads them to victory, but other nights, he comes off-the-bench and does not do anything to help his team win. Compared to last season, Bogdanovic is averaging -4.7 points, -0.8 assists and is shooting -6.0% from the floor and -7.6% from three-point range.

This is not going to cut it for a guy who is making $18M this season, which is why it could be time for the Hawks to cut ties with Bogdanovic after a season-and-a-half.

The Athletic’s John Hollinger mentioned the Hawks possibly looking into trading Bogdan Bogdanovic and this is a move that surely would make sense for them because of the fact that they are on a 8-game home losing streak and that they have lost 9 of their last 12 games overall.

Atlanta is trending in the wrong direction and Bogdan Bogdanovic is not going to be the guy to save their season. Maybe Talen Horton-Tucker and Kendrick Nunn will not be able to either, but they give the Atlanta Hawks more depth, more young talents, and save them money in the long-run.
