Does this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?
Caris LeVert is a really solid talent at the shooting guard/small-forward positions, but he does not seem like a long-term building block in Indiana.
He has one more year left on his contract after this season and with the Indiana Pacers needing to do some rebuilding, LeVert is the player that this organization could get the most value out of right now.
Kemba Walker is nothing more than a replacement player behind Malcolm Brogdon for the time being, but Obi Toppin and the first-round draft picks they get in 2023 present a future for the Pacers.
Who knows what this roster will look like next season, but Toppin, Duarte, Jackson and any other young prospects they acquire could really start to build a strong looking future for this Pacers’ organization.

This is definitely not the most value they could get for Caris LeVert at the trade deadline, but there is certainly value to be had here for Indiana in this trade with the New York Knicks.
