As the NBA trade deadline approaches, the Indiana Pacers could be among the more active teams around the league with fielding calls. Whether they end up making actual moves or not remains to be seen.
While much attention has been placed on the frontcourt logjam the Pacers face with Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner both being at their best playing the center position, there should be attention paid to Caris LeVert.
After getting a look at what they have in Chris Duarte, who was selected in the lottery during the 2021 NBA Draft, the Pacers could ultimately decide to move on from LeVert.
LeVert started off the 2021-22 campaign slowly but has recently posted some more robust outings. Overall on the season, he’s averaging 20.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.9 assists but is shooting just 31.8% from beyond the arc.

The Pacers seem committed to Malcolm Brogdon given they made him trade ineligible by giving him a contract extension before the start of the season. With Duarte being a franchise-cornerstone, capitalizing on LeVert’s trade value is a logical choice.
